Health prevention and promotion activities enable our partners to support people to increase control over their health through healthy behaviours and the conditions in which they live, work and play.
A prevention approach is used by Bendigo Loddon Primary Care Partnership (BLPCP) to support healthy lifestyle choices and contribute to the reduction of illness and the improved physical and mental wellbeing of people living in the Bendigo and Loddon regions.
BLPCP’s work in the prevention space is guided by the Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plans 2017-2021, for the Greater Bendigo and Loddon Shires. These plans are aligned with the BLPCP strategic plan and the Victorian Health and Wellbeing Plan 2019-2023.
BLPCP supports the four pillars of the implementation framework for Loddon's Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan, Living Well in Loddon.
BLPCP facilitates the City of Greater Bendigo Prevention Network which brings together partners in Greater Bendigo to align their preventative health work. The network aims to improve the community's physical, mental and social wellbeing, and to capitalise on opportunities for collaboration to deliver the best possible outcomes for the community.
